Virtual Branch Reduces In-Person Visits by 93% – a Game-changer for Transaction Efficiency.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced a significant shift in the way services are provided, with the introduction of a “virtual branch” over the past 23 months. This virtual branch has facilitated individuals and businesses to easily complete transactions electronically without the need to visit traditional branches. It has also improved government performance, enhanced access to services, and accelerated transaction processing.

The virtual branch has led to a 93% decrease in the number of visitors to labor offices over the past 23 months, dropping from 60,000 to 3,000 beneficiaries per month. This achievement highlights the ministry’s success in developing advanced technological solutions that meet the needs of beneficiaries efficiently, improving procedural ease, saving time and effort for users.

Through the “Qiwa” platform, the virtual branch offers an integrated system of digital services that enable beneficiaries to carry out various transactions online such as issuing professional and temporary visas, renewing work permits, transferring labor services, checking work contracts, and filing labor complaints electronically. Additionally, it allows users to schedule consultations with ministry representatives to discuss regulations and ensure clear and speedy execution of procedures.

This accomplishment aligns with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s commitment to enhancing government services in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on promoting digital transformation and elevating service quality. The ministry continues to develop innovative technical solutions to enhance government sector efficiency, improve user experience, and provide outstanding services that meet the expectations of citizens and residents alike.
