Foreign Minister Leads Saudi Delegation at Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo on Behalf of Crown Prince

Representing HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, HRH Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Foreign Minister, headed the Kingdom’s delegation at the extraordinary Arab Summit held in the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the summit, the Minister delivered a speech conveying greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense. He also expressed the Kingdom’s gratitude to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian government for their efforts in enhancing regional coordination and consultation regarding the region’s developments.

Highlighting the Kingdom’s firm rejection of any infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, whether through settlement policies, annexation of Palestinian lands, or attempts to displace Palestinians from their territories, the Minister emphasized the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination on their land and the establishment of their independent state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Minister stressed the unprecedented suffering experienced by the Palestinian people in Gaza, emphasizing the need for international solidarity to restore normal life in the region, reconstruct it, and enable the Palestinian people to live with dignity on their land without altering the realities on Palestinian territories. He called for international guarantees and UN resolutions to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire in Gaza, prevent further aggression, achieve security and stability in Gaza and all Palestinian territories, support the Palestinian National Authority, and provide humanitarian services to its residents.

In conclusion, the Minister expressed the Kingdom’s hopes that the summit would contribute to tangible outcomes in ending the catastrophic consequences of this war, protecting innocent civilians in Palestine, and creating a new reality in the region characterized by security, stability, and prosperity. The Kingdom’s delegation included HE Deputy Foreign Minister Engineer Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khurayji, HRH Prince Musa’ab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Saleh Al-Husseini, the Kingdom’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Matar, the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, and Waleed Al-Samail, Assistant Director-General of the Minister’s Office.
