10 Regions in the Kingdom Experience Moderate to Heavy Rainfall and Strong Winds

The National Center of Meteorology has forecasted thunderstorms accompanied by moderate to heavy rain which may lead to flash floods in several regions of Saudi Arabia. The rain will also be accompanied by hail showers, strong dusty winds, and partially to mostly cloudy skies in areas such as Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, Al-Madinah, Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, and Najran. Additionally, there is a chance of thundercloud formation with rainy episodes and strong winds in parts of Al-Jawf, Northern Borders, and Eastern regions.
According to the report, surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, and southerly to southeasterly in the southern part at a speed of 12-35 km/h reaching 45 km/h towards the Bab El Mandeb strait. Wave heights are expected to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, with sea conditions ranging from light to moderate waves. On the other hand, surface winds over the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 15-35 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters, and sea conditions varying from light to moderate waves.
