1332 incidents reported by Customs Ports in a week

In its continuous efforts to enhance security and protect society from prohibited items of all kinds, the Saudi Customs recorded 1332 cases of confiscation at land, sea, and air ports. The seized items included 106 types of drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and stimulant pills, as well as 706 prohibited substances. Additionally, a total of 2261 tobacco products, 26 financial amounts, and 10 weapons and their accessories were intercepted at the customs checkpoints.

The Saudi Customs Authority reiterated its commitment to strict customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports to ensure the security and protection of society. This is achieved through continuous collaboration and coordination with all relevant stakeholders. The authority also urged everyone to contribute to the fight against smuggling to safeguard the community and the national economy.

Furthermore, individuals were encouraged to report any smuggling-related crimes or violations of the unified customs system by contacting the dedicated security hotline “1910” or via email at “1910@zatca.gov.sa”. International callers can use the number “009661910”. The authority guarantees complete confidentiality while receiving such reports through these channels and offers a financial reward to the informants if the information provided is accurate.
