The General Authority of Zakat, Tax, and Customs thwarted the smuggling of 11.3 kilograms of the drug “Shabu” at the Al-Batha border crossing. The drugs were found hidden in a truck entering the Kingdom through the border. During the customs procedures, security technologies revealed the drugs hidden in various parts of the truck.

The Authority coordinated with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to apprehend the recipients of the seized drugs within the Kingdom. Three individuals were arrested as a result. The Authority affirmed its commitment to tightening customs control on the Kingdom’s imports and exports, standing vigilant against smuggling attempts by working in coordination with their partners in the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to ensure the safety and security of society by protecting it from such harmful substances.

The Authority urged everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to safeguard society and the national economy. They encouraged reporting any incidents by contacting them through the designated security hotline “1910,” the email “@zatca.gov.sa1910,” or the international number “009661910.” Through these channels, the Authority confidentially receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Unified Customs Law, providing a financial reward to informants if the information is accurate.
