Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Defense Minister, met with Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, in Tehran today. The meeting included a discussion on the progress of relations between the two countries, the current events in the region, and various issues of mutual interest related to achieving security and stability.
Also in attendance were Chief of General Staff General Fayyad al-Rwaili, Royal Court Advisor Khaled al-Hadrawi, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed al-Jaber, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Iran Abdullah al-Otaibi, and the Director General of the Defense Minister’s Office Hisham bin Saif.
From the Iranian side, Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence and Security Affairs Brigadier General Gholam Mahrabbi, and Assistant Foreign Minister for Gulf Affairs Dr. Ali Bak were present, along with several other senior officials.
