Cultural Tour Organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for Hajj and Umrah Guests
Today, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance orchestrated a significant cultural tour for guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visits. This initiative welcomed a diverse group of 2,443 pilgrims from over 100 countries across the globe. The tour featured several historical sites, including the location of the Battle of Uhud, Mount the Archers, and the Martyrs’ Cemetery of Uhud.
The guests began their day at the Martyrs’ Cemetery of Uhud, where many noble companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) are laid to rest. They received an insightful explanation about the events surrounding the Battle of Uhud, which took place in the third year of the Hijrah. This enlightening session included the identification of key positions occupied by both the Muslims and their adversaries during the battle. The group then ascended Mount the Archers, a prominent landmark of the historic confrontation.
Following this, the visitors made their way to Quba Mosque, the first mosque ever built in Islam.
