In a significant gathering at the Makkah Region’s emirate located in the holy site of Mina, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Amir of the Makkah Region and Vice President of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah, hosted an important meeting with various officials to discuss and assess the ongoing Hajj operations for this year.
Among the distinguished guests was Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah. During this meeting, Prince Saud received an extensive briefing about the ministry’s initiatives and the services provided to the pilgrims during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. The discussion highlighted the collaborative efforts among various participating agencies, which have been instrumental in executing well-coordinated plans and delivering essential services to the pilgrims, known as “Guests of Allah.”
The Deputy Amir’s engagement with the Minister of Hajj and Umrah showcased a commitment to ensuring that the pilgrimage experience remains smooth and fulfilling for the attendees. Addressing the coordination and synergy among government entities, he emphasized the significance of teamwork in ensuring that the spiritual journey is met with the highest standards of service and care.
In addition to meeting with the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Prince Saud extended his welcome to Engineer Saleh Al-Jasser, the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services. In this recent encounter, he conversed with Al-Jasser about the logistics and transportation solutions implemented for the pilgrims this year. He received updates on the successful transportation of over 294,000 pilgrims from Arafat to Muzdalifah and more than 349,000 from Muzdalifah to Mina, facilitated by the special train service designed for the holy sites.
Al-Jasser elaborated on the infrastructure developments and operational readiness aimed at improving the overall experience for pilgrims, particularly during the critical days of Tashreeq, which is central to their rituals. The meeting underscored the importance of efficient transportation, given the immense number of pilgrims participating in this year’s Hajj.
Moreover, Prince Saud welcomed Major General Dr. Hamoud Al-Faraj, the Director General of Civil Defense, along with several senior officials. Within this context, the Deputy Amir reviewed the Civil Defense Directorate’s operations in the holy sites. The emphasis of their ongoing efforts lies in preventative measures and operational readiness designed to ensure the safety and well-being of the pilgrims in the crowded areas.
