International Recognition for Saudi Arabia’s Efforts in International Humanitarian Law Highlighted at Special Conference in Doha.

The Permanent Committee for International Humanitarian Law participated in the Gulf Seminar held in Doha, Qatar, entitled “The Role of National Committees for International Humanitarian Law.” The event was sponsored by the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in Qatar, Ibrahim bin Ali bin Isa Al Mahandi.

During the seminar, the Permanent Committee for International Humanitarian Law highlighted the efforts and achievements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting and disseminating the principles of international humanitarian law both domestically and internationally. These efforts were well-received by officials and attendees at the seminar.

The committee’s participation in this seminar stems from its aspiration for Gulf cooperation among national committees in spreading international humanitarian law through unifying efforts in training, education, and exchange of experiences. Gulf efforts are crucial in reinforcing the joint commitment to humanitarian values, which reflects on humanitarian security, development, and respect for human dignity.
