Thunderstorms Hit Some Regions of the Kingdom

Today, the National Center of Meteorology in its weather report predicted thunderstorms accompanied by hail showers, strong winds raising dust and reducing visibility in parts of Al-Jawf, Tabuk, Al-Madinah, Makkah, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, and the Northern Borders extending to the northern parts of the Eastern region. Additionally, surface winds will intensify in the northern parts of the Red Sea coast.

The report indicated that surface winds over the Red Sea are northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 28-50 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southwesterly at a speed of 20-40 km/h in the southern part. Wave height is expected to range from one and a half to three meters in the northern and central parts, and from one to two meters in the southern part. Sea conditions will be moderate to rough in the northern and central parts, and light to moderate in the southern part. On the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly at a speed of 20-40 km/h, with wave heights ranging from one to two meters and sea conditions being light to moderate.
