Tourism facilities licenses in various regions of the Kingdom increase by 89% by 2024

The Ministry of Tourism has revealed a significant increase of 89% in licenses issued for tourism hospitality facilities in various regions of the kingdom in 2024, with a total of 4425 tourist facilities being licensed. According to the Ministry’s spokesperson, Mohammed Al-Rassamah, this growth in the number of licenses is a result of the Ministry’s efforts to support operators and investors in the hospitality sector by facilitating the necessary operational licenses. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of services provided by hospitality facilities to both domestic and international tourists, in line with the rapid growth of the tourism sector in the kingdom and the increasing number of local and international tourists.
These efforts are part of the “Our Guests First” campaign, which seeks to promote compliance with licensing and classification standards among hospitality facilities, ensuring adherence to the requirements set by the tourism regulations and laws. The Ministry is committed to improving the overall tourism experience and ensuring that all tourists – whether they are from within the kingdom or abroad – receive high-quality services that meet international standards. This drive towards excellence is crucial in light of the booming tourism industry and the rising demand for travel and hospitality services.
